Castle and Beckett -- 'Just Ain't Enough' PLOTLINE: Castle and Beckett work together and they fall in love. However Kate becomes distant and uncertain about how she feels. Castle on the other hand is completely and utterly head over heels for her. They fight, and things become unsettled between them. Castle feels like he's losing her and forces the situation by proposing to her. Kate agrees to think about it. As time passes he asks her a number of times what her answer is and in the end she snaps back telling him to leave her alone. He does and Kate's left to think over their time together and how she feels. She discovers she really does love him but is terribly worried it won't be enough. The friction leads them to continuously fight. In the end Kate calls an end to their relationship. Later she gives him back the ring he gave her. That night they're sitting on the couch in their apartment and he tries to get her to stay but she gets up and walks away.
